Into You

Watching the BTS on Healer's Episode 15 inspired me to pen this. Kudos to @mrandmrshealer for the clips. Enjoy!

He stared down at the woman snuggling him in bed, and wished fervently they're in a private room safe from the ogling of the production staff. It doesn't help when that woman keeps on wiggling and trying to cuddle deep into his arms. He's getting uncomfortable there, and would do anything just to kiss her once more.
The memory of the passionate kisses they've shared earlier on the previous takes stirred deep seethed lust that has stayed dormant for months...no, years! He's so acutely aware of her soft curves plastered against his hard body, wreaking havoc on his senses. Behave! He scolded himself mentally and looked around guiltily, trying to see if the staff are taking covert recording.
He jolted out of his reverie when Min Young's hand inadvertently landed on the sensitive area just below his abdomen. He quickly glanced at her, but she was sleeping, blissfully unaware of his lecherous thoughts.
He removed her hand carefully and transferred it to his waist, and hugged her closer. He inhaled deeply, drawing in the heavenly scents he came to crave. He closed his eyes and imagined they were on a secluded beach, basking under the sun with the cool water lapping gently on their feet.
Damn! You're enjoying it! He cursed silently when the director shouted "Cut." He cast an accusatory stare at him, who was smiling knowingly.
Min Young stirred and moved out of his embrace, facing away from him. He frowned and slid his hand under her shoulders, pulling her back gently towards him. She shivered uncontrollably. She nuzzled deep into the crook of his neck, and her hand tightened around his abdomen. He inhaled sharply, nearly undone. He angled his body so that they're not touching down below. She will run from here screaming surely. He mused as he arranged the blanket around them.
She awoke when she felt a finger sliding gently on her cheek. Someone's crooning at her to wake up. She doesn't want to wake up just yet. She's dreaming of him kissing her out of her senses in the middle of a busy street. All of the people gathered around them were applauding and shouting in encouragement. She smiled contentedly. If only this someone would just go away...
He smiled when he saw two lines furrowed between her brows. "Come on, sweetheart. You've got to wake up."
Her eyes fluttered open, and panicked almost immediately when she stared into his honey dark eyes. Is it real? I thought it's a dream! She moved restlessly and exhaled a sigh of relief when the noisy room registered in her sleep befuddled brain.
"I'm sorry." She said huskily. "How long was I asleep?"
"It's nearly thirty minutes." It's actually one hour and a half, but he's not telling her.
"Thank God." She exclaimed and looked at the Director in bewilderment when he strolled towards them saying it was a good take.
"We were able to shoot the scene while you're down under." She looked more appalled, and scrambled to get up.
"Easy. You might fall down. You're not fully awake yet."
Min Young shook her head. "I'm so sorry. That's so unprofessional of me. You should have woken me up." She spared him a guilty look.
Chang Wook sighed as she got up. Game's up. He could not do anything, but to follow suit. He slid his arms into his thick jacket while watching her being assisted into hers by her personal assistant. She sent him furtive glances, and looked away immediately when he caught her. He's sure she's looking flushed, and thought she's still not well.
"Look. If you're still not up to it, I can ask the director if we can shoot the other sequences first."
She looked at him with surprise. She automatically covered her face with her hands, as she realized he must have mistaken her beet red face to her illness.
"No. I'm okay. Let's do it." She picked up her script and flicked through the pages.
Chang Wook smiled and ambled towards the Director.

They're kissing again. He's not complaining though. He liked it a lot, but he's worried what Min Young might think. He doesn't want her to think he's taking an advantage of the situation – which is half the truthWho can blame him?
So he asked her what she thinks of the scenes. "They are alright. They are demanded of in the scripts. It's not as if Song Ji Na put them out capriciously just to please the viewing public."
"That's what I thought. She said they are to show the emotional growth of Jung Ho. I just thought you might get offended." He was smiling, but staring intently at her face.
"No." She tried not to squirm.
"What's the matter? Is there something in my face?" Why oh why his stares making me gooey inside. Her heart's beating fast, and she gripped on her script as if a lifeline. She laughed self-consciously and fought the urge to cover her face. No. Min Young, get hold of your herself. Don't get into that trap again!
Chang Wook shook his face, but didn't look away. "I'm just thinking we're nearly finished here and we never had gone out for a meal. I mean, just the two of us, away from the prying eyes of the crew and staff."
She gaped at him in surprise. "Why?" She asked, trying to clear her throat when her voice croaked out.
He chuckled, pleased that he's making her uncomfortable. "Nothing, I just thought it would be nice if we could go out alone for once. Unless, there's someone's holding you up?" He asked her smoothly while watching her conflicted emotions playing across her face. He's certain this is not the case, as she's single and unattached the last time he checked.
Min Young gazed at his hopeful smile. "I'm sorry." She said after a while, avoiding his stare. Oh please don't look at me like that.
"Why?" He was still smiling, but his eyes gently probing.
"We'll take a rain check. I'm busy and I know your schedule's fully packed. Shall we do it maybe after the show?"
"Alright then," they both knew it was a flimsy excuse, but he did not say anything. He knew her by now that it has nothing to do with their schedules.
Min Young didn't know she's holding her breath until that moment, and smiled hesitantly.
"Would you like a drink? I'll get you one then we'll continue where we left of." She stood up waving the script. She did not wait for his reply and tried an enormous effort to walk normally while she's actually in desperate need to get away from him.

Healer - Ep. 13 (Behind the Scenes)

He cursed himself while he rushed to the bathroom and took a quick shower. For the first time in his life, he’s late for the shooting and numerous concerned messages have been left on his phone. Stress with work has taken its toll and he decided to have a few drinks with his friends last night. They ended up drinking until the wee hours in the morning, and as a result, got his mom worried.

“Are you not going to eat first?” she asked when he dashed to the door.

“Sorry Mom, I’m late already. If I’m not going to get there real quick, they might send an army here.” He said hurriedly while putting on his shoes. “I’m sorry for last night.”

“Early morning young man, very early”, his mom corrected. He smiled ruefully and made his leave.

When he got into the set, everybody was looking at him with concern. It’s rare for him to be late with his commitments, and judging by their looks, Bang Chi Gu did not tell them the exact reason why he’s awfully late. He breathed out a sigh of relief, and scanned the room for Min Young but he couldn’t find her. He was about to ask her assistant when she came into view. He smiled broadly upon seeing her, but then he wet his lips nervously when he saw her expression. She knew.

He tried to think hard for excuses, but none came to mind.

She did not utter a word to him that morning, except when they were rehearsing and taking their actual scenes. He could not take it anymore, and after PD-nim shouted "cut" after taking a scene, decided to break the ice.

“You’re not talking to me." He said, stating the obvious.

She looked at him innocently, as if he didn’t say anything.

“Is it because I drank?” She looked pointedly at the corner of the room. The crew was preparing for the next take, and they were on a standby.

“Come on…let it slide.” He pleaded. He doesn’t even know why he felt this guilty.

“No!” She said sternly, her voice soft so as the staff would not hear what they’re talking about.

“Shall I go home then?”

Min Young hid her smile as she turned away from him. Let him suffer, she thought, drinking when he has work to do the following day. Ha! Serves him right!

They both managed to finish their scenes without a hitch, being professional as they are, but the staff knew there’s something going on between them.

“Will you please leave us for a moment?” Without waiting for her assistant’s reply, Chang Wook steered Min Young towards the empty room and closed it with a definite snap.

“Hey, what are you doing?!” She protested and tried to get away from his grasp. “If you don’t want people talking about us, you better let me out!”

He locked the door and leaned against it, his hands akimbo while grinning at her. “You’re not speaking to me yet? I won’t let you out here unless you tell me what’s wrong.”

She sighed and looked at him. He’s so irresistible and her resolve crumbled.

“How many bottles have you consumed last night?” She tried to look stern upon seeing his pained expression. “Yes, Bang Chi Gu told me so save your breath.” Chang Wook groaned and cursed him mentally. He needs to talk to him.

“Is there any particular reason why you've drank?” she studied him with shrewd eyes. Even though he’s smiling, it doesn’t seem to reach his eyes.

He tried to hold her questioning look, but dropped his gaze almost immediately. Trust her to see through me he thought. There’s no point lying to her!

He moved away from the door and walked to the window. He glanced down at the empty street and stared momentarily at no particular distant.

“There are times I just feel the need to get away from it all and just be normal. And to me, I can only be normal and be myself whenever I’m with my friends. I can fool around without fear of being judged by other people.” He said without turning around.

“You being in the same industry should understand what I’m saying”. He added after a pregnant pause.

“Ah…Chang Wook” An unexplainable ache throbbed deep in her heart, and fought the urge to hug him. Come on Min Young, restrain yourself. She thought, berating herself.

He shook his head after a while, and flashed that irresistible grin. “Now, are we cool?”

The quick change in his expression didn’t fool her a bit, but accepted it for now. She smiled instead and clasped his outstretched hand with her both hands.

“Next time, don’t let the drinking interfere with your work.” She gave him a quick kiss on his cheek, and burst out laughing when she saw his expression.

“Now, Min Young…”

“Come on, we’ve got work to do.”

He knew this is not yet the right time as there were a lot of people outside that door, and they’re surely wondering now what is taking them for so long.

I need to do something about this soon! A look of determination flashed momentarily on his face while staring at their clasped hands.

The Vow (Part 2)

They made a mad dash to the departure gates while trying to evade the fans. It never ceased to amaze him how they seem to know his whereabouts, and always there at every corner. He's thankful they're flying via VIP route. He's too tired and not sure if he can deal with the fans upon their arrival in Singapore.

The filming last night was finished a bit late, and he was relieved when they managed to get into the gates within the opportune time.

Another day...another place,he mused as he scanned the blue azure sky. He sighed as he tried to stretch his legs in as much as the confining legroom can allow. He would like to catch some sleep, but sleep eluded him at this point and kept on thinking of Min Young. He has not seen her since Monday and he missed her terribly. They could not see each other as often as they would like because of their hectic schedule.

The Singapore press conference and back-to-back fan meets later on that day were a rousing success. He could not believe he was in South Korea just hours ago.

He plonked himself on the settee while rubbing wearily on his right temple.

“Hello, handsome.” He smiled upon hearing her husky voice.

“Did I wake you up?” He peered into the clock on the night stand. It’s already 11 which means midnight in Seoul. “Sorry, I didn’t realize it’s already late.”

“No. I was just thinking about you when you called. You did not call me earlier so I was a little bit worried.”

“My schedule today was so tight I was not able to. How are you? No late filming tonight?”

“We’re finished earlier than expected. So we went out for a meal.”

“With who?” His voice sharpened, transferring his phone on the other ear.

“Stop!” Min Young laughed “It’s PD-nim’s birthday and treated us to a sumptuous dinner. How about you?”

“I was so tired; I haven’t noticed what I was eating a while ago.” He sighed and proceeded to lie face down on the bed.

“Oh poor baby. With the rate you’re going, you’ll end up sick!”

“I will just sleep it off and I’ll be good in no time.”

Actually, all tiredness has gone upon hearing her voice and he’s not sleepy anymore.

“Tell you what, there’s something that will surely relax me.” He drawled as he turned on his back and put his hand behind his head. A small smile is playing mischievously on his lips.

“And that is?” Min Young’s voice has turned serious and didn’t catch immediately what he’s trying to say.

“What are you wearing now?”

“Wearing?” She seemed puzzled, and sputtered as she realized what he meant. “You…you pervert!”

“Who? Me?” His smile widened. “I did not say anything. I just asked you an innocent question.”

“Ha! Innocent?!”

“Come on…”

“Alright.” She has gone quiet momentarily. “Well. I have this night dress…”

“Yeah?” He asked in anticipation and tried to imagine her in bed.

“It’s cut low, just above my…” She looked down at her well covered chest and smiled slyly. “It has this strappy thing.” She tagged down at the sleeves of her furry pajama.

Chang Wook has gone silent.

“It’s a sheer see through night gown that ends up just at the top of my thigh.” She examined her pajama bottoms with twinkling eyes. “Hey, you still there?”

“Go on.” His voice has become raspy.

“And the best thing is I’m not wearing anything underneath.” She bit her tongue stifling a giggle. Innocent. My ass. Two can play. She thought roguishly.

He groaned. “Ah Darling…”

“Come and get me.” She teased, enjoying herself.

“Picture! No. Turn on your cam!” he demanded.

“Hey. Some things are better left on imagination.”

“Please…” he cajoled.

She decided to end his misery and took a snap shot of herself.

“Idiot!” She snickered affectionately.

“Aish!” Chang Wook bit an oath. He’s staring incredulously at her picture. Is that a koala costume she’s wearing? or a bunny? “Nice one, lady. You got me on that one.”

She threw back her head and guffawed.

“You just wait.” He warned in disgruntled voice. “You just wait. You’ll cry for mercy before I’m finish with you.”

“Promise?” Min Young purred while wiping the tears at the corners of her eyes.

“I promise. Come on, princess, time for bed.”

“Call me when you have time tomorrow. Dream of me.”

“I will.”

A tender smile was still playing on his lips when he finally went to sleep.

I love you, Min Young.

The Vow

My addiction and obsession to Ji Chang Wook and Healer brought me here. It's more than a year since "Healer" finished airing, and yet I'm still here having not moved on. I need a closure, well not from our beloved leads, but from "Healer". I would be following these two, and like so many other fans addicted to the drama, hope that they will date in real life.

This is my first time to write a fan fiction...I was never been obsessed this much! I hope you enjoy reading my humble take on this OTP, and I would be very very happy should you make comments, constructive or not.

You should have thought that before you decided to add the BTS on the DVDs!” he said in a restrained angry voice. He ceased pacing and planted both arms leaning down on the man seated on a chair.

The CEO nervously tagged on his collar while eyeing Ji Chang Wook with trepidation. He has suddenly felt the urge to escape from the conference room which seemingly became claustrophobic.  Ji Chang Wook  has a charming and playful personality, but no one in their sensible mind would want to be on the receiving end of his wrath.

Glorious Entertainment and KBS both agreed to add the BTS with the main leads’ approval, but NOT the intimate moments taken by overzealous staff. Chang Wook has gone worried sick thinking what might be the implication for Min Young.

He doesn’t care about those behind the scenes footages since they have nothing to hide. Hell, he would gladly air them in public so the netizens would know what the real score about them is if not of their agreement.

They both promised to each other that they would keep their relationship very private until she’s ready. Her former brush with controversy had left her gutted, traumatized her to the point of not daring to go out with the opposite sex even if they were in an honest platonic relationship.

He vowed to protect her no matter what. He even tried to distance himself, he thought bitterly. He accepted a foreign project so as to deviate the attention they’re getting since they wrapped up “Healer”.

Now this! He fisted his right hand, while he raked the other hand through his disheveled hair.  He had to fly back to South Korea while in the middle of the shoot and between foreign engagements to sort his out.

There were three executives from the KBS present along with his manager and President of Glorious. The BTS furor has escalated out of control, demanding an immediate action. He looked around and aimed them with an icy glare.

“Now, what’s the plan? How are Min Young and her people taking this fiasco? If you just have used your….” He stopped abruptly and just turned his back. He doesn’t trust himself when he’s angry, and no one dares to stop him when he’s in this mood, not even Bang Chi Gu.

“Ah, Chang Wook, sit down and we’ll try to discuss this….”the CEO of the KBS stopped what he’s saying when Chang Wook stared at him with a mutinous expression. The CEO cleared his throat, “Our protocols have already been put in place, and our teams are trying their best to stop this from spreading.”

“And how will you manage that? The local fans are already having a field day and the international fans are clamoring for more. The damn paparazzi want their share too, not to mention Min Young’s new drama project. It might put her project in a precarious situation, and I would not like it.”

A furtive look passed through the men. They perfectly knew why Chang Wook is acting this way, and why Min Young’s name kept on creeping through their conversation.

“We’ll issue an official statement to clarify the situation.”

“Or we can arrange for a press conference.” Bang broke his silence and continued without batting an eyelash, “and let it out once and for all.”

“What?! Are you serious?” Chang Wook asked incredulously “The anti fans will hound her mercilessly. She has gone through a lot, and I would not want her to be trampled cruelly now that she’s back on her feet.”

“Maybe…maybe not” Bang countered, “We would never know unless we do it. Besides, you’ll be there with her unless you already changed your mind?”

“Careful…” He warned in an ominously quiet voice.

“That’s decided then; we will contact Min Young and see what she says”. The CEO of KBS breathed a silent sigh of relief as they seemed to reach an agreement.

“I will do that. If and when she agrees, that’s the only time we’ll put the whole thing in motion and not before.” Chang Wook gave them all a steely look, daring them to contradict him, and he strode out from the room without waiting for their reply. He nearly gave in to the temptation of slamming the door, but sensibility prevailed.

“Give me the keys. I will drive.” He sat behind the wheel and started the car. ”Where shall I drop you?”

“I have to go back to the office.” Bang did not ask him where he’s going, but he knew. He’s also worried about this mess, but he trusts Chang Wook to do the right thing.

Only a select few people knew about their relationship. He would like to make it public, and still bristles as to why they have the need to keep it secret. It’s ironic that now he’s raring to date officially and publicly, he could not possibly do it. Min Young pleaded that they have to wait when they’re both ready to meet the possible consequences, whatever they might be.  But the situation is getting out of hand, and it’s increasingly difficult keeping their relationship under wraps.

The staff on the set greeted him warmly when they saw him. He nodded curtly at them, having no desire for chit chat. He searched through the area and zeroed on Min Young who was rehearsing a scene with Yoo Seung Ho, her co-star in her new drama.

As if she sensed his presence, she snapped a gaze towards where he stood. He touched the brim of his cap in acknowledgement and smiled with sheer satisfaction when he saw her beautiful face brightened up upon seeing him. He gestured that he would be waiting on her trailer until she finishes, and waved at Yoo Seung Ho.

Oh God, he’s tired he thought as he sat on the chair. He stacked the cushions and rolled his aching shoulders. He closed his gritty eyes. Just for few minutes.

He awoke with a start when he felt a warm kiss on his lips.

“Sorry to keep you waiting…you must be tired.” Min Young kissed him again eagerly on the mouth.  She leaned back and gazed down lovingly on his face.

“Na ah…not so fast.” He gathered her back into his arms. He cupped her face, and kissed her for seemingly a long time. She was gasping for breath when he leaned back afterwards.

“I thought you’re back filming and getting ready for your fan meeting in Singapore? Oh, I watched numerous videos of your concert in Chongqing. You really looked good. No wonder, they still loved you even when you forgot your lines”, she teased. “Did you really become emotional when you sang your Healer's OST? You sent those tongues wagging again because of that.” She continued without waiting for his reply.

She made a beeline to the mini-fridge, extracting two bottles of orange juice, “Sorry, I don’t have a beer.”

He smiled and shook his head. He was so relieved to see she’s still his usual bubbly and unaffected girl.

He sat back, stretched his long legs and beckoned her to sit on his lap. Her eyes widened.

“No, thanks.” He laughed when she pouted, “I think I don’t have the strength to do it at the moment. Give me few more minutes and I might take you up on your offer.”

“So what brought you here?” She sat on his lap and started to play with his hair while she’s looking deeply on his eyes. Something’s amiss she thought. “Not that I do mind, but people are already getting ideas.”

He continued to rub her back gently, and looked at her seriously. “You really don’t mind at all?”

“Why should I?” She looked back at him with surprise. ”I’m always happy to see you, and I’m thrilled every time you sneaked in. Although, I’m worried what your fans may say once they see you.”

“How about you, you’re not worried they might get back against you?”

“Some.” Her smile dimmed a little. “But I learned to accept these things months ago. I thought I could distance myself away from these things and would live normally while doing what I love. That’s what I did, I kept pulling away but in the process I hurt myself and people around me. I realized that instead of going away, I have to embrace the things that come with being celebrity and learn through it to be totally happy”.

“Are you happy now?”

A lump rose through his throat when she looked tenderly at him and cupped his face. “I am. Since I came to know you, and know what true love is, my life…” she stopped when someone knocked.

“Min Young, they need you now on the set."

She laughed when he growled out a mild expletive. He run his fingers through her hair and smiled ruefully. He drew her close to him and kissed her tenderly on the lips. “Go. I’ll wait here.”

She leaned back, looked stunned. “Really? You don’t have a meeting today?”
“Finished awhile ago, I asked for some respite and they gave me the rest of the day off. Back to filming tomorrow so I’m yours today.” He winked mischievously.

“Promise you’ll be here when I’m finished? I’m not sure what time though…”

“Don’t worry, I’ll try to catch some sleep”, and can’t resist rubbing her rounded butt when she stood up. She leaned down and kissed him hurriedly when the staff called her out again.

It turned out her filming has finished earlier than expected. Maybe it’s the excitement of spending the rest of the day with him that made her finished her scenes without too much NGs. When she went back to her trailer, she leaned against the door frame and could not stop herself from smiling with wonder.

She watched him as he sleeps. How does he manage to look adorable even when asleep? She thought giddily - and totally mine.

His face was facing towards her with his both arms flung carelessly above his head. She can hear his gentle breathing, and had to restrain herself kissing that slightly opened luscious mouth. She brushed his hair instead and planted a soft kiss on his forehead.

I love you so much, Chang Wook.
